Plasma above fireplace sheltered or not? I will be getting a vented attractive gas log in my fireplace....

I will be getting a vented attractive gas log in my fireplace. I don't enjoy a mantel. However, the plasma above the fireplace is attached to the drywall. There are 4 inches between the drywall and the chimney wall.

Will there be a problem next to heat? Manufacturer said as long as the temperture is not above 104 degree, I am okay.
What color should i paint my walls?

Have you ever tried to wallpaper a room...
but why do u want to take the risk....
try to make over ur plasma to come other wall.. so that u can be happy beside both ur investments...:)

and its always upright to keep varying ur room decore now and next..... rearrange adjectives ur sofas and chairs, tables.... and also ur plasma.....gather the new fireplace near a brand new room decore....and a safer setting....:)
