You could do a shabby chic "cottage" vintage-y look with lots of feminine touches. Distressed furniture, lace, pinks etcetera approaching this one.

Or go the other way-- go for a modern look. Use blacks whites, form it all glam. Hang black and white posters IN FRAMES on the wall-- frames are more sophisticated. :D You could do romantic pictures, audrey hepburn pictures, or personalize it and blow up some of your OWN photos, make them black and white and frame them.
