I have wooden, stained plantation shutters and would resembling them to be white. Any tips? Should I use a paint brush or spray paint?
thanks!
Answers: Put a coat of Kilz primmer on first. That will amass you lots of work & make your paint undertaking look so much better. Personally I would use a brush...maybe two emaciated coats. Others may suggest spray painting. Either road do a couple of thin coats so you won't bring back 'drips.
Good luck.
You would have to rough them up beside sandpaper if they are shiny. Then I would spray paint them. Put cardboard or plastic up on an outside wall and lean the shutters up against it. Then spray away. Hold the spray can about 18" away from them when spraying to prevent any paint from running. You could hold a sponge paint brush to smooth any drips if need be. You can use acrylic or grease base but I would use acrylic myself. Here's to nice looking shutters.
