My boyfriend and I are currently trying to give our bedroom a complete makeover. Now most of our furniture including bed and dressers are black. Our douvet cover is the gorgious red color and even the shelves and mirrors are adjectives black. So we dont look too goth or anything we have plentifully of white incorporated too such as the curtains, some pillows, the carpet is feathery. I was thinking of fine art one wall red and the rest taupe (beige). I want a slight romantic feel surrounded by the room and red being the color of love i thought would be nice. But wasnt sure if it would look odd. My bf also suggested painting adjectives walls red. So now i hold no idea what to do. Just looking for opinion on a black, red, and white themes room to look romantic. Thanks
Answers: Rather than red, I'd suggest using a shade of red, still surrounded by the red family. How in the order of a color like terracotta or a not so bold red? I similar to your color combinations..... but your BFs suggestions of all the walls red? Oh method too much color, walls would be popping, you'd get a headache and not spend time contained by your bedroom. If you are using beige on the majority of walls, try tallying some gold accent.... it'll blend in powerfully with the taupe, black, and red duvet.
The wall I'd paint the reddish tone would be the wall astern the head of your bed. My suggestion. Have fun near color!
It will just be a nightmare to cover if you ending up changing your mind latter. LOTS of primer!
