Painting my Chimney? My chimney looks like it be painted a while ago. ...

My chimney looks like it be painted a while ago. It's chipped a lot and immediately looks red and white.

My question is, i be told i can use any exterior paint to go over the brick? is that the valise?

I don't use the fireplace, so it's just for look?

Any recommendation?

Answers:    Sand the surface first. Wash it down with tsp. Don't brand the solution too strong. Let it dry. Prime brush or roller or spray. Repeat prime if you want to change to color foggy to lighter. Paint with fitting quality paint 2 times. Don't use cheap paint.
