Painting dressers and hold a pregnant wife? I want to paint some dressers that we have cause they are...

I want to paint some dressers that we have cause they are dreadful. My wife is 4 months pregnant (hopefully everything goes well since our first be a miscarriage). I bought some ColorPlace Interior latex-satin white paint from Walmart. I dont know if that is water base or not cause I couldn't find it on the can. I was planning on drawing either outside or in my computer room. I be thinking about leaving the furniture within my room for a couple of days while it airs out. Of course, I would leave the room closed while it airs out. Is this ok to do? Would it be safe to bring the dressers final after a couple of days and what might be the minimum time to let them air out. I be planning on painting while she is at work. Thanks for any help!
Well, Deffinatly outside, the fumes could cause mischief to the baby's brain. But be sure to put some primer on the dressers. If they have veneer you need to go and get rid of it and sand off that extra. But try not to get changeable days. PS leave out side to air out. 48 hours minimum. If you are distressed, you could return that paint and get some low VOC paint which is almost odorless and doesn't give rotten harmful vapors. If you can't find it at Walmart, you can buy it at Home Depot, Lowes or any good paint store.

Congrats to you both!
First two answers are sensible. I would also be sure to sand past its sell-by date any glossy surfaces before priming. If your paint is latex, it is water-based. I really would not verbs about harmful chemicals near latex -- dragging the furniture outside seems overkill. Just put them in a room she from time to time visits. If you take the dressers outside and paint them.it shouldn't bring more than 24 hours for them to dry.

I would do the project outside. Just watch the weather and do it when it is not supposed to rain for a couple days. That method you just don't have to verbs about it.
Answers:    Attack. You should be capable of tell by the smell of the paint.if's it's oil.you'll smell the thinner. If you running latex it should be dry surrounded by a short period of time. If it's water base paints you will be ok...but I would still open a window or use a small supporter..don't start the fan while it's still wet...you may take some unwanted dust..Most latex dries really quickly..so you shouldn't have to verbs about the smell...Attack, when it say latex that resources water base.i missed that on the first reading of your grill. Sorry. I think that I would give it a couple of days of late to keep you all fine and happy. God Bless the the coming little gift..they're special...don't know what you going to do while their on the agency..and after they get here don't know what to do without them..bye
Good luck to u and ur wife. i would do it outside. the paint fumes within ur house aren't good for a pregnant woman. even if the door is closed Before painting your dresser engender sure you put a coat of primer on it
