My son stated that you can mix Kiltz primer in beside your other paint. I said I have never hear of painting that style. The home has alot of cigarette smoke on it and it requirements a primer. Is my son right or am I? Apply the Kiltz primer let dry and afterwards paint with your ceiling paint right or wrong?
Answers: Ceilings contained by a smoking household. Yep, lots of experience here. I find the best solution is to wash the ceiling beside Dawn dishsoap and water. It will remove most of the nicotine stains and the ceiling will be unforced to paint without using Kilz at adjectives. I have used both methods. I primered beside Kilz and then painted. This be as awful as washing but the Kilz is so stinky and so laborious to use. You will be amazed at how verbs your ceiling will get beside the Dawn solution. I dont mix Kilz with other paint because it tend to change the tint and the color when mixed. The solitary place I use Kilz now is when at hand has be water interfere with. It is the best when covering old river stains and hideous colors. I dont use Kilz on ceilings anymore since I discovered the Dawn solution. It have to be Dawn too...not another brand.
I din't think mixing them would be nearly as influential as Covering the area near the Kilz first, then final coat after dry, that path you can see if you missed any spots
