Paint colors that run near unpainted woodwork? I want to paint my room, but I can't paint my woodwork....
I want to paint my room, but I can't paint my woodwork. It is fairly dark, and I am have a hard time finding a good wall color to step with it. Any suggestions?
Try pastel. It will help to lighten up the room. Or try white, which will impart it a modern look.
You should be open for anything.
Remember that you will have porthole coverings, furniture, floor coverings, etc. to help your new look. Have fun.
Primary colors are pious for a fun room, RED,AQUA,Yellow. If you want to sleep well and relax go next to cool blues, greens and soft pinks.
Don't use the little swatches, go to the paint store and buy the sample cans/bottle and paint subsequent to the wood to find the color you feel good roughly.
Have fun, its just paint and you can re-paint as many times as you want! Yeah!
I would move about with earth tones. Greens or browns.
what color are your largest pieces(sofas, chairs, bedding ,tables etc.)try and pull a color from in that to start.add a few accents from the rest of the palette to tie everything together. I'd shift with a light icy blue or a soft celery green.
