my bathroom has tiles halfway up the walls that are this putrid mix of salmon and pepto-bismol. what color should i paint the walls? zilch seems to match but we can't remove the tiles because according to my mother they're *vintage and gorgeous* hellppppp=]
grey, you can own black and white accessories. If your tub, commode and vanity are white if you paint the walls white I have an idea that that might be too much white. There are many shades of grey, best to get color taster cards at Lowes,
Sherwin Williams etc to match up with the tiles. Yowza cadence me to the answer - Sherwin-Williams.com has an AMAZING color visualizer - you can choose a room type and many paint colors - you can paint the walls, molding, and sometimes even the furniture. It's well-mannered quality paint, too. No, I don't work there.
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you close to. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I resembling that you can search by color family & color first name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I estimate a light brown like "sanderling" (# 7513) would be the best choice to dress up the pink tile.
Cream? depending on the sink and other accessories

Taupe! Go for a prevailing conditions shade.one with plenty of gray in it. However, short seeing the exact color, it's hard to say. a yummmy bluee

it will tote covrr that harsh color and it will also look cooool

like the ocean

jump 4 it!
Answers:    "Vintage and gorgeous?" HELLLLOOOOO..it's YOUR bathroom. Pull those wretched things down if you want to. And if the MIL have a fit, give those hideous tiles to her for a Christmas gift!

As for the color..something impartial I suppose...white, cream, tan.
