i really want to transform my room into a kinda stoner/rocker/kick back room.
(to imitate my personality for a while since my room right now is fukking crap and doesnt emulate me what so ever.)

im thinking about any getting purple or black sheets.
a black canopy.
helluh posters everywhere.
lava oil lamp and christmas lights.
a small couch or giant bean bag stool.

my walls are beige on top and purply/pink (ew.) right very soon.
im thinking about disappearing the beige and only painting the purply color similar to a dark brown.

so this cross-examine is just for anyone who like decorating and whats to sort some suggestions.

it would be awesome if you did.
:)
Answers:    Black sheets (especially if not satin) are a choice copious people regret - they show every bit of lint and every unconscious skin cell that lands up on them. Ew gross, in simple jargon. I would advise you toward foggy purple or burgundy (like dark red wine) instead of black. That warning comes both professionally and from personal experience. At 16 yrs old I get black sheets and within 3 months I be fed up near the urge to wash them on a daily basis and turned them into a crazy canopy item that hung on my ceiling for a while. So yes, black canopy sounds worthy.

Lava lamps and Christmas lights are great for ambiance. You might want to consider rope lights -- they use markedly little electricity, do not get hot to the touch, and come surrounded by a variety of colours including a really cool purple.

The small couch will present you more versatility than the bean bag stool would. If a friend has to sleep over, the couch won't be too self-conscious, you can spread out books and stuff on a couch which makes it better for homework or personal projects, and it seating more people and it's only more comfortable.

It's a wise finding to work with the light brown you already have -- save a bit on paint and labour. Instead of going for a cloudy brown like chocolate, look for a more grey-brown so your walls will hold a better colour harmony next to the purple (sheets and acccents). A really neat method to make the light brown and darker grey-brown flow together better is to buy a can of paint contained by the darker colour but within a glossier finish (if your walls are being painted eggshell finish, opt for semi gloss) and use a stencil to do a simple cut-out that will overlap onto the less shiny publication of the same colour and onto the light brown. It's amazing how this technique can really pull two colours together.

Hope this help some. Good luck!
