Ok so i an thinking about painting adjectives the walls in my room a real rich/ heat up purple color with white trimings curtains and creamy kind of runner. Then the funiture would be a mix of white and black brown funiture much like in the pic below.

Heres a pic (4th one across) description of what im going for except the pink carpet would be light and the walls would be a rich/warm purple colour. Do you recon this would endow with me a warm romactic feel for my room. Or a complete disarster haha

buy ample paint chips for the purple. they're usually 18" x 18" and give you a better sense of color than those little free chips. spend the extra 3 dollars, it's worth it to avoid a color mistake I like the room contained by picture #4. I especially like the mix of the black and white furniture. The black is dominant; from the angle of the photo, the black bed is the focal point. Note that the large black wardrobe within the left edge of the picture is black as powerfully. And very big...If you had room to accomodate such a piece, it could incredibly well be a focal point, as well.
The walls here look more of a blue hue to me, but it's truly rock-hard to tell. The walls in photo 2 are lavender. I guess this lighter shade would look better than your "rich, warm" purple. You could go just a bit deeper. You could accessorize near a deeper shade of purple.
I think a dark purple would breed the room look closed in, especially with gloom furniture pieces. A bright, rich purple would give your room more of a modern look and wouldn't produce the romantic feel you desire. That's why I surface you should stick with a lighter tone - not necessarily a pale pastel, but a more subdued shade.
There are so lots beautiful colors in the purple/plum relatives. By all means, experiment and find one that you approaching. Try some paint chips and do some sample boards so that you can try the colors in different lighting.

I think that when you are having walls contained by one exact colour the pink might not be so bad on the floor. But I would rather reccomend you have more polite colours of the carpets :) And some classic mats on the floor: http://www.turtlemat.co.uk/Classic-door-...
(Uhmm, I don`t know better purple carpet than a pink one, hmm?) As a designer, I wouldn't recommend purple for "romantic". It's more a spring or brightening color. Your color scheme is nice but conceivably you should think about lately accenting one wall with purple and continuing more of a heat up beige tone with it.
Answers: Hmmm. I don't think I could live surrounded by a purple room, but it's up to you.
If you have a bit of a budget, why not buy some purple flannel sheets (I got some from LandsEnd overstocks a few years ago -- you might know how to find some cheap ones from another on-line dealer, since it is an unusual color, and flannel is more of a winter thing), and then tack it up on the walls? It should confer your room a rich, texture-y, tent-kind of look that can be very romantic. And if you find you hate the color, consequently you just tear down the sheets, donate them to good-will (or upholster your sofa, or put 'em on your bed), and try a different color.
The white trimmings and creamy mat sound like they'll walk with just going on for any rich color. China blue, turkey red, spring green, or eggplant purple (which I envision when you say rich/warm purple color). I think they'll be a great investment.

Edit: You might also want to think about a cream-colored hearth rug in light of the bedroom mortal a pretty high traffic area. How something like a dark carpet, that have little creamy throw rugs that you can launder? I have small children, so when I think white or cream carpeting, I ruminate "24-hour flu -- preceded by strawberry shortcake" or some other throw-up disaster. But, if you have no kids, and the money to replace the carpet when it starts looking shabby, consequently go for it. There is something very sedative and rich about that kind of runner. (-: Never fit in my lifestyle, unfortunately, but it does nouns wonderful.
