Old hardwood floors? we took up carpet in our house a long time ago, but...

we took up carpet in our house a long time ago, but moved out someof it because we found out it wasnt the right kind my mom said,,

she said its not finished, i understand what she channel, cuz my friends just got hardwood floors put it and theirs is nice and smooth and close to slippery... our is sort of slippery.. is there something that we could use to make it look contemporary?

Answers:    You just need to sand it down and remove adjectives the old finish, then put a trial finish on it. If it is just planking or presswood then you could lay a current wood floor over the top of it.
