I was wondering how to swathe and create a romantic bedroom. My husband picked a blue (not grey blue or baby blue...sort of a manly bright blue-if that exists) and we own black bedroom furniture and black and white photos I would like to maintain in the bedroom. Any concept for bedding colors/accent colors? Or what color to paint other walls if we paint just one blue. THANKS FOR ANY IDEAS!!!
Answers: My organization is painted a light blue and a cloudy charcoal gray. I have single black and white pictures in the room also. I found some stuff to cover my corkboard, and it's a light blue paisley print, beside gray and royal blue throughout. I used the royal blue for accent pieces within the room. I also lined my bookshelves next to the same yard goods, and then I get several cobalt blue bottles, and placed them around the room.
I think that would be a nice diction - royal blue. Not overly feminine, but still very nice looking.
I hold a denim type blue textured paint on one wall of my bedoom , and a denim comforter for the bed. the other walls a khaki, a little dark than you might expect.
All of our bedroom furniture is white, I might go to a lighter cream for the walls beside the other balck and white motif.
