I own my house and I plan to sell it surrounded by 2-3 more years. I am thinking of replacing the 4 year old mat. Is it worth it or will I still need to replace it when I get rid of? Should I just skulk?
Answers:    My house is currently on the market also, and I hold the same dilemma. I enjoy 4 year old hearth rug on the first level i.e. in moral shape, and really worn old grey runner on stairs and upper level.
Now if you are going to stay for a few more years, sure, hearth rug and enjoy it. As long as you are not the type trash it, it will still be lawfully new when you trade. But, choose a color and pile that will appeal to lots of people, close to a tan Berber, which is popular presently. Also, altho Polyester fiber looks nice and is cheaper, it mats down and looks fruitless really quickly. Nylon wear much better, but if it's a really fancy place with top-notch everything and price is no express doubts, wools are fabulous. There are lots of options contained by between too.

Now, if you expect top dollar at sale, you should probably skulk to carpet the place. The other risk is what I am doing: I'm offering $3,000. cash subsidise to buyer at sale for them to use for updates or closing costs. Some buyers resembling the idea of choosing their own runner, and some want everything ready to move contained by. It's a gamble that depends on the present souk, what other homes in your neighborhood are doing to procure sold, season, (winter is slow for buyers) and price. Whatever you do, research current trends, and follow those.
If it gets really dirty smoothly I would wait to replace it until for a while while before I moved, that passageway I could still enjoy it but I wouldn't ruin it... but if it doesn't carry dirty very slickly then achieve it now. 4 years doesn't nouns like ripened carpet, but if it ups the helpfulness of the house then budge for it!
