I have original window in my house (1920's) and i have 2 window with broken glass. I necessitate to remove the windows to take to enjoy new glass put surrounded by. Whats the easiest way to remove an old wood skylight and then put back surrounded by?

Answers:    If it is the lower sash it is easy.Just carefully remove the stop molding on one side.You can usually grasp the sash out with one side.If not, remove the other side.If ropes or chains were used, a moment ago remove them from the middle of the sash.

If it is the upper sash, you have to take out the lower first.
Then remove the "Parting Strip"from the center.You can usually verbs it out with plyers if you score the paint first.
