Answers: If you call for to have a suitable finish you could buy a aerosol tin of white undercoat but make sure that you camouflage the mirror well.Your friends suggestion be good and would endow with your the desired look but it would take a couple of coats. try the spray for a speedy fix good luck
if your going to only paint over it, prime it with an grease primer, or I would suggest a "zinser" primer (I think my spelling is wrong) But I know they brag superior adhesion to everything.. but roughing up the service is unequivocally a good piece!
