I¡¯m moving into a new apartment and I¡¯m planning on decorate the bedroom in an mature Hollywood glamour. Problem is, I will be sharing it with my boyfriend so the room can¡¯t screech female. I believe I want the foremost colors to be a baby/light blue, white, and maybe approaching a tan-ish. Any ideas on where on earth to get CHEAP items for the bedroom, or even thinking of what to decorate it near? I need everything from a headboard to lamp to little trinkets!

You should get hold of shag carpeting and a mirror coffee table for snorting cocaine. Then your room will really look very "old" Hollywood glamour.

If you painted the walls child blue and used white accents for the molding around the window, doors, ceiling, and for the furniture, that would be nice. Just don't do any lace or flowery stuff.

For the headboard, make your own. Get a piece of 4'x8' plywood. Cover it next to 3-4 layers of quilt bat so it's poofy. Then cover it with a special yard goods from the fabric store. Since you want a tan-ish, I don`t know a burnished gold or bronze metalic textile. Pull it tight and staple in the final. Then, staple from the front in a regular model like buttons and hot-glue on big buttons over the staples.

Use the headboard color to dictate the color of your bits and pieces like lamp (the bronze color with a white shade) and dresser-top items.

Answers:    Look at Target or even flea markets. You can bring back great things there, you basically have to look through the unwanted items to find treasures.

I would suggest dark wood. It is not to girly, and it can be glamorous. Also, get hold of lots of lighting with dramatic shades. it'll be nice!
