We bought a house and I want some ideas on how to label a bedroom romantic, a theme for a bathroom, and some thinking for the living room!?! Any ideas are aprreciated gratefulness!
Answers: Before you begin anything. bestow some thought to the 'flow' of the house. Before decorating remember that the house is one big decorate project and all colors should 'flow' other from one room to the next. Don't chop rooms up and receive them bizzarre colors that don't compliment the flow of the home.
That being said, reckon about what your house routine to you. It is a place you go to relax, breed memories, function on a day to afternoon basis... so bring in it a relaxing functional haven for yourself and your family.
Personally, I reckon a great color scheme for a home would be a table lamp brown, sage green, and slate blue. You can add some deeply dusky pinks to this color scheme and accessorize near silvers. Silver fabrics for pillows really looks smart and contemporary surrounded by a home ...with a satiny street lamp brown and some dusky pinks. they all compliment respectively other.
Silver picture frames, lamps ... mirrors, ... doesn`t matter what you want will definitely compliment this color hatch up. Stick with a more pewter color of silver fairly than a bright shiney silver. Silver can range from depressing pewter to almost a white silver. You want to stay closer to the lighter pewter color. Then you can add bronzes or coppers to the mix as okay.
I suggest this 'mix' of colors because they are all surrounded by a complimentary family framework of colors that will blend capably from room to room in your entire home.
You will stipulation to come up with a color reins for the entire home by taking a piece of poster board and assembling fabric sample and colors that you like and dream up go ably together. THEN do the room to room thing. Sit down and design the color plot for each room. (Not individual things... in recent times the colors at this point.)
This way... when you start to shop for big items such as couches or bed linens... you will own your chart to go by as you way of walking through the store. You will know if this or that item will 'work' in the room.
You want to plug surrounded by each item to your color hatch up and make it work in attendance.
Doing a whole house can be overwhelming. Go at it beside a plan. Get input from the whole home. Most of all try to hold on to it simple. Get a small index card file box to store ALL your reciepts so that if you modify your mind about one of your purchases. you wont be stuck next to it... just hold it back to the store.
