My husban an I are moving into a new home am planning a house warm party. The place be moving to is more of a condo type dwelling
I was thinking of asking the guest to bring a small rock and write their term on it then some how turn this into something cute. next to a bigger sign of our friends are our rock
that is where on earth i get stuck what can i do to incorperate this rock concept and make it into something cute. the rocks are going to be 2.5x2.5 within size ..
and I suck totally at owning plants I have a black thumb. so rocks and plants are a no travel .
I don`t know u should have ur guest write here name on small tiles and prettify them with bead and other things. My aunt did this once and each time be very debonair and decorated and they adjectives had a significance. She tiled the outdoor kitchen nouns in her backyard. looks great and have a meaningful purpose
Maybe using the rocks as a base for the tabletop or wall dampen fountain (can get them anywhere, plus they come beside rocks too.)
or
get a nice tray, acquire pillar candles and use the rocks around them.
or
make rock sculpture with them using epoxy cement (found in hardware stores)

Answers: My daughter has a picture of her friends surrounded by a circle, taken from above, just of their feet- it is so creative and cute.
At the entertainment, you could put the rocks in a circle, hold everyone stand around it, arms over shoulders, and take a picture (from above) of the foot & rocks. Sounds corny, but hers turned out really cute. You could frame & hang the pic on your wall, conceivably get a Calligrapher, or rub ons of your 'friends are our rock' aphorism on the matte under or over the pic. You could also put the rocks surrounded by a decorative bowl for the coffee table, or outside within the garden.
