Need Bedroom decorate tips? My bedroom is 19.5 x 16.5. It faces NE next to two...

My bedroom is 19.5 x 16.5. It faces NE next to two windows overlooking the street and the park. I win some light surrounded by the AM, but after that it's kinda dark and on the cool side - especially contained by the winter of course. I own hardwood floors and a pewter toned metal king sized bed. I'm thinking of going with standard lamp colors because it is so dark, but I can't find any inspiration. I'm not the neatest soul and I read a lot surrounded by bed so there are other books and mags around.

Any thoughts on color schemes? Websites -other than HGTV?

I could really use some sustain here.
How about a silver and gray striped wall contained by satin and gloss? Alternating the sheen of every other stripe? The next to walls could be a paler silver or gray. For bedding I would also consider a satin/silk spread/comforter done in silver or gray. Add diction pillows in black and red and use the red as your auxiliary color. Picture frames can be done in black.

Go to home depot they show you how it would be best but IDK how to swathe so that's what I would do.

Hope they can help!
sounds simply like my daughters room... in the order of the same size (btw that is to say a nice big room... hers used to be a living room for a two family and be converted to a one family so she have a nice big room)
and also facing NE.
she has one glass on the N side and two on the E side.
the sun rises in the east so mornings are nice but afternoons get the impression cold, right?

What we did in her room is painted a wispy blueish purple color (in the lavendar spectrum) and when the sun comes up in the morning it a moment ago looks amazing!
We left the windowsills and trim wood. (vs. drawing them)
and in her room for decorate and accents we use purples and yellows.
The wan really helps thaw out things up a bit.
I think next to a hardwood floor you really need some sort of a throw rug or nouns rug... that would help heat up stuff up.
maybe a comfy sitting bench in in that somewhere?
a small bookcase near the bed for your mags/books.
Ok, next decorate it beside something you are interested in...
for instance my daughter have her keyboard and her electric guitar out within sight.
One verbs that might help you out is http://www.bhg.com/bhg/decorating/
because they hold a lot of color arrangement ideas.

If you don't enjoy a lot of lolly for this transformation, try thrift stores... they usually have greatly of nice furniture, bedding, rugs, etc.
Also try the "oops" area of your local home store (lowes, menards, home depot, etc) for cheap paint....
copious times you can get it for $6 or so a can.

Also remember, adjectives your walls don't have to be like peas in a pod exact color.... you can pick 2 or 3 totally different colors, or go near different shades of the same color... here is lots of fun stuff out there!!!!

hth~!
There are alot of places to get inspiration, basically look it up on line. One place you could be in motion to is..www.behr.com. That is a very worthy paint too.
I am an interior painter myself. If you happen to choose the wrong color, you can other repaint it.
One thing that I resembling to do is paint 3 of the walls the same color and the other, another color. It seem to give it depth. Also try..thedecoratingdiva.com
Answers:    A nice color for the bedroom would be a warm taupe - close to "emerging taupe" by sherwin williams:

It sounds like you emphatically need an nouns rug to warm up the room a bit, too. I would catch something in wool contained by taupe, beige, brown or burgundy. Heaps to choose from here:

I love this one:

With relatively nonpartisan tones for the rug & wall color, you could do just in the order of anything with your bedding. You could stick beside a monochromatic color palette with taupe, sunburn, ivory, beige or brown:

Or you could hold a more romantic flavor with taupe, ivory, burgundy or weighty purple.

Or cool & contemporary with taupe, sage green & blue:

Good luck!
