What type of drywall or board should be used when installing natural stone within the shower? What is the best way to put untaught stone in the shower? Im concerned in the order of the moisture. Thank you.
Answers:    You would use a cement based sponsor such as Hardie-plank or Dur-rok. No Drywall!! Check with your stone supplier on the subject of their recommendations on installation. Most valid stone products come in slabs which would require a true mortar bed for installation, bracing, etc. Some stone products can "telegraph" a color from an incompatible mortar cement. Your stone supplier might even install for you. Lastly, go to a stone peddler and they will guide you and even show you "your slab". Many natural stone products, granite included, will stain from many soaps, gels, etc. , and they adjectives will require periodic sealant keeping. An alternative would be Dupont Zodiaq which has unconscious quartz embedded contained by a sealed surface. Looks great, little keep; or perhaps a cultured marble. Good luck
not sheetrock. Cement Board. I would also use the schulter system. Here is correlation for that http://www.schluter.com/
