Answers: Sand the rust spots (completely), then primer them. If you are sculpture a light color, use a street lamp color primer (light grey). Darker if going with a dark color.
After the primer has dried thoroughly, paint the color of your choice. Go trouble-free. You don't need to rush. To rush will produce drips and runs.
When sculpture, do so in a in good health ventilated place, and purloin your time. Your results will show how much attention you paid to the details. A shoddy will look shoddy.
