The answer depends abundantly on the manufacturer. I've be living in one for 13+ years very soon. We bought a lot surrounded by the city and had to get through a lot of hoops, (local ordinance can really stink). I can tell you that NO ONE that visit our house even knows that it be modular and shipped in two pieces from Indiana. We are really pleased with the overall standard for the price we paid 13 years ago.

Pros: prices are typically MUCH better than a stick built home, level is usually at least as worthy if not better, it's built indoors usually so the wood is never soaking raining and there is smaller quantity chance to come across mud clumps surrounded by the future, abundant choices of floorplans from different manufacturers, pretty much can bet on a finish date (if you're not buying it pre-built)

Cons: Depending on location city ordinance can really slow you down, if you go near a "cheaper" quality the window could be leaky the walls not straight and the cupboards made of cardboard (so don't be tempted to try to jump REALLY cheap), not much flexibility in the set floorplans (ie: if you want an extra fanlight in the room it might not be capable of be done.

Answers:    I have have a real exquisiteness for over 3 years now. It have a open floor plan near a great room.
The pros are: great price.
Are put together quickly so you don't enjoy to wait long to move contained by.
They are very strong. What other loving of home can go down the freeway at 60 mph and not attain blown away.
Your taxes would be lower then beside a stick home.
The cons:
You have to swot to overlook some stupid calling you trailer trash or something like that.
They don't increase contained by value the agency stick homes do.
It can be hard to capture a loan for them. You can't get one next to nothing down, at tiniest not here in California.
All contained by all, and I've have both stick homes and now a manufactured home, and I'm severely happy beside mine.
P.S. If you can visit a manufactured home factory it is really cool.
I be a CSR at a manufactured home facility. We only offered a one year warranty and a one time cosmetic warranty so be sure that you product a list of ALL cosmetic problems for that look in. I also worked in the plant for 7 years. Be sure if you charge one that it is not being built around holidays because we use to haul-@ss to finish them so we could shift home and the quality isn't as well-mannered. Other than that, the home are beautiful. You can even seize Tape and textured walls now and the kitchens and master baths are huge. They even enjoy some with porches on them.
