i use a lot of different lumbers contained by various projects. lately i acquired (was given) nearly 1k bf of sassafrass lumber and some cants. what are the working characteristics of sassafrass? i hold cut some blanks to try stains and finishes. the blanks seem to embezzle the finishes i have tried resourcefully. sands capably, goes throught the plainer economically. it does not seem to be a long fibered wood. what are its nouns carrying capabilities?
it is a pungent wood. does it own the same or simmilar effect on bugs/moths as aeromatic red cedar? also aquired some yew turning blanks. involve the same information for yew too. thankfulness
