I am building a small pole barn and I need some average prices, per piece, on some lumber. I needed untreated, pine:

2x8x16:

if you could give me the average price on those that would be really helpful, thank you.

search net for lumber [prices - it does depend on your geography, even in states

other impact on price include how clear of knots you involve, for framing, flooring or for interior finishing

if you are a contractor (or know one) you might get a better matter

Answers:    Each responder is correct, it really does depend on which subdivision of the country your reside. However, I don't think I'd build such a pole barn using untreated pine. The barn would get going to succumb to rot and bug infestation before too long.

How about a short time ago calling your local lumberyard or Lowes / Home Depot? Be aware lumber is a commidity like grease and the prices can change day by day.
