Need help. We just installed cherry colored hardwood flooring contained by my living room and hallway. My walls are white and I just can't stand it, I own to paint now. Info.my living room is small so I don't want a color that will make it look small or too dimness; I want to paint my hallway in like peas in a pod color; my couch and love seat are currently a dark green but we plan on getting unsullied furniture later on; last, in that is a wall that separates my living room and kitchen but you can see into the kitchen from the living room and my kitchen is a buttery/light yellow. Please help!
a sand, beige, or ecru would be a nice neutral, and smaller quantity stark than white. a sage green would give color and contrast with the red-toned floors. may be too much near the green furniture, though.
I was getting ready to suggest a buttery wan before I read that your kitchen was that color. Could you use one and the same color in a lighter or darker shade? Whatever you choose take home sure it's very light. Check out this website and consider "Glad Yellow" or "Friendly Yellow". If you are sick of the ashen look, go with something approaching "Retiring Blue" or "Bonsai Tint". Keep it light. You can always tag on more dramatic color with art! I would suggest you paint the walls a light color from Sherwin William's call "Paper Lantern". It is a soft light ivory cream color just adequate to warm up the rooms. If you want to go to a slightly dark neutral shade, I would suggest the use of "Macadamia". It is more of a tan color, but still table lamp. Check them out at this Web site.

Answers: play around beside the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I close to how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color kinfolk & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color scheme. You can literally spend hours:

I think "tatami tan" (# 6116) would look terrific.
You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can receive color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look resembling.
