Laminate floors? I am having laminate floors installed on my 1st floor concrete slab....
I am having laminate floors installed on my 1st floor concrete slab. They keep conducting tests the himidity. It has been to glorious. I have been running two dehumidifiers for 2 weeks, tore out my laminate floors..What else can I do? Should I put a sealer on my floor? What kind- a impermeable or a water base? HELP ME! THANKS!
Answers: Hi, If you are lay laminate over a concrete floor you should lay down a damp proof membrane (DPM) first to protect the laminate from moisture. If your floor is new the concrete have to have cured or you will have problems. Hope this help.

laminate is a thin wood veneer,,,,go beside hardwood flooring,,,,solid and will not peel,,,you need to stamp the concrete AND use a moisture barrier so the floor wont warp. BUT if you have glorious humidity, look to other flooring options such as ceramic tiles. Well if you didn't own to have laminate then I'd do tile floors.
