I have about 10 foot (long) 1.5 feet wide of countertop to do contained by my kitchen. I am planning laminate to keep the costs low. How much can I expect to pay (roughly) for the countertop? How much for installation?

Answers:    I of late had mine, approx. one and a half times the size you detail there for $750. total cost! I got three estimates from $750. to $1500., did a good-looking job, looks like marble...mitered corners, etc., adjectives new wood. ( I had an nouns possibly even double yours)

the smallest panel you will get is wider than that usually , look at your local market for any surplus stock that get cheaper.
if you go to B7Q etc you will need to attain it cut by if you want a good straight safe frame. Take the cutoff piece away with you, you may want to add an upstand or use it as shelves somewhere and you will hold paid for it
Installation is a piece of wee wee. Unless you have really curvy walls. It will remuneration you to seal it down with some silicon glue at the raw edges though, and then crinkle from in side the cabinets. There will be small brackets surrounded by there for the purpose. Just use screws that are no longer than 3/4 of the concentration of the top or you may break the surface. And remember its heavy, it will stay pretty much where its put beside a half dozen screws
