Hi
we are redecorating our kitchen, and we call in 3 indipendent advisors ( so we can bring back 3 quotes and compare). I hate outlook presurised to accept something i am not entirely positive with and i too abhorrence to be put under pressure. What is your suggestion in do's and dont's of the tradesman to be exact trying to " sell " you a kitchen?
We know what we want and we know where on earth to get it from, but we also want to be prepared for when they come and start quoting!
Any previous experiences ( and any tips) and warning, are welcome!
Answers: Did you beckon in independent advisors or salesmen? It sounds as though they be salesmen.
Stick for exactly what you want and if they can't or won't provide it, go somewhere else. Don't consent to them pressurise you. You are the one paying the bill, you are the boss.
Negotiate hard, produce all the decision before you sign the command, then don't transfer anything or it will cost you a bundle.
Don't pay more than a deposit next to the order. If they want full pay-out with lay down, show them the door.
Make sure all the pieces both fit together and contest colours/shades etc.
The main item you want to remember is to give yourself a minimum of 24 hours back buying anything. This works when buying a car as okay. Let them know up front that you won't be making a decision today and that you own other people coming to grant you quotes. You can do what I do and if they start trying to pressure you into signing anything on the spot, just report to them "No thank you, I'll be in touch if I involve you again" and head them out to the door. No reputable entity will use high pressure campaign on you because if they are good at what they do, consequently they'll have adequate business not to need to use that method of salesmanship.
