Is this a carnival price to wages for hand-scraped firm wood floors? The bedroom is 10'10" x 11'9", closet is 6'9" x 4'2". ...

The bedroom is 10'10" x 11'9", closet is 6'9" x 4'2". Flooring is "hand-scraped", and we have not requested any first-rate wood than the standard. The quote is $2,750. That seems pretty steep, but what do I know? Looking for someone who DOES know. :) Thanks!!
Answers:    You involve about 160 sq. ft. of flooring. Add to that the needed 7% dissipate and the total is about 170 ft. I don't know what brand your hardwood is but the appendage scraped style is usually a bit more expensive. The wood is probably from $4 per ft. to $7 per ft. or $680 to $1200.
Labor costs vary from $2 to $4 per sq. ft. depending on where on earth you live. You can count on $350 to $700 for installation.
At any rate, this is a small one day affair and anything within excess of $2000 is too much. You should be able to acquire the job done for around $1500 efficiently.
The true way to find out is to receive two more estimates. Chances are, there is probably one distributor contained by the area to supply to wood. The merely variable is the labor.
