My carpet is a mess. We're replacing it beside hardwood floors but not until next summer. In the meantime, I be thinking about putting rugs on top to cover the stains, but is it gummy? If so, what would you suggest I do instead?
Answers: I say its OK too, I own a huge area rug contained by my living room to cover stains, I'd rather look at the rug than the stains!! I also hold rugs over carpet within my kids room too , I think its save the carpet from wear and rupture too.
If anyone complains, ask them if they'd like to replace your floors themselves!
I used throw rugs and larger rugs on hearth rug - i've seen it done on some of the decorate shows as well.
