My plumber wants to charge me $750 to install a alien kitchen sink (cast iron), new Delta faucet, and strange garbage disposer. This amount includes the three fixtures and the installation charge. Does this nouns reasonable. I priced the three fixtures and come out to about $575.00. So I amount about $175 is for labor. Sound possible?
this sounds more than pretty good to me and I think you are getting past its sell-by date cheap. Not only does the Plumber own to go pick these items up as cog of the job, he have to cover all his overhead. Gas, time at the supply house, insurance and any wages he pays a aide. You got a wonderful operate
For classify iron that is cheap! Cast iron fixtures are a foremost PIA.
Is he a licensed plumber?
A supply house would likely charge you that much for newly the fixtures.
I would charge $300.00 + a trip charge just for labor.
I would put pen to paper up the fixtures as well to compensate for my time and expert understanding.
Don't shop it too long or he may get upset and stroll away or feel he underbid and re-quote you. I would.
PS Plumbers don't bill by 1/2 hours, unbroken hours only + a trip charge. $120.00 for 2 hours is simply $60.00/hr and no trip charge, a bargain!
A CI kitchen sink can weigh 200 pounds! He will call for help.
Answers: That sounds real probable! You got your self a large amount! I would expect to see the install of the sink alone to be over 200 dollars! Shop around if you want but I bet the competitors will mark up the cost of the fixtures allot.
