I just moved into my first apartment and it have cathedral ceilings so here is a lot of blank wall. I wanna dangle stuff up so it doesn't look so institutionalized (all white walls...) but is it tacky to swing up posters? Like... just daily posters.
Answers:    I'd opt for some beautiful rugs or yard goods with an intricate, color coordinated outline that you love.

Posters are fine but you are right, too many can manufacture a place look tacky. I hung immense baskets on the walls in the kitchen and good-looking rugs in the living room. I save the bedroom and bathroom for posters where not too plentiful people but me hung out. The rugs can be used sometime next on in your go on the floor when you have collected some artwork for the walls.
Not necessarily. You could grasp some inexpensive black poster frames at Walmart which will dress up a poster. Or, you could group several in a setting to receive a display. You may need to check your lease to see what you can use to sway things. If you can't use nails, consequently you're stuck with poster putty and especially lightweight items.
Just make sure they're straight. What really looks gluey are things hanging crookedly.
