Answers: As far as I know, there's really no passageway to preserve such a smell for a long period of time. My mother claims she can still smell the odor of my father who passed away several years ago (by smelling the scent on his clothing still slack in the closet), but I have a sneaking suspicion that that more concentrated and kept in a closed environment as defiant open bedding.
Get them put money on into bed again! The smell will fade and sheets do need cleaned from time to time
