I am currently renovating a terraced house (1900ish) for myself and cannot decide whether to put the coving rear legs up or not (whole house), I don't particulary like it but my missus does!
Do you hold a small room?
Answers:    it depends on how elevated you're ceilings are if it is a modern house consequently most people walk for gyprock coving but i would think by the age of your house that you will own high ceiling i would recommend fibrous coving that is designed it does look apt but it depends on you're taste as you said your missus like it but you don't why don't you both go and hold a look around and see if there's something that you both like and also what looks correct with fibrous coving on lofty ceilings is a dado guiderail about 3in from the coving on the ceiling hope this help you decide righteous luck and enjoy your renovating
