I was thinking just about doing a Interior Decorator course externally/distant learning because here is no facility in my nouns that runs them. Its a 12 week course. Has anyone done one of these and has anything dutiful came of it? Such as employment? or is it a misuse of time or more for personal use, like doing your own house. I know in that are Interior Decorator courses at university that go for approaching 3 or 4 years so what is the point of the 12 week courses?
Answers:    A decorator can certainly grasp a job-and I would say the trait would depend on the school providing the course.
Interior Designers are a stratum up from a decorator-you have a point and must be a member of the ASID surrounded by your area and know copious contracting and remodeling rules along with design. A designer help with picking out and furniture arranging etc-an Interior Designer might move window, walls and such-you have to know safekeeping rules and regulations.
