I want to install tile over laminate. How do I do this?
you cant. the laminate will not adhese to the tile. trust me, you should just rip up the laminate. it can be fun, and near is most likely ply wood underneath it. this will make your update much more pleasant and unchanging and will also be very easy. fitting luck with things :-)

Do not lay Ceramic tile over the laminatee floor, you must remove the laminat and get to the sub-floor and remove it afterwards put down sheets of durarock on the floor joist. If you are laying it on a concrete floor you must still pull the laminate up and own a clean level surface so the mortar will bond. If you don't remove the laminatee your tile will float on the laminat. Hope this help. You have to remove all the laminates, verbs and cement render your floor before installing the tiles.
Normally, there are a veil of polyurethane and sponge under the laminate. Check and see.
Installing tiles over your laminate floor would cause your tiles to crack at the joint/ boundary as the laminate will tend to sag.
Answers:    You can install tile over laminate counter-top I would not do this on floor. To do on counter top use sander with 60 grit sand paper and sand adjectives areas to get rough finish. I used premixed thin set, and installed Granite tiles over laminate top and the brief turned out good. I have immediately put Marble on other bath room counter-top. I bull-noised all fold pieces myself. You can see picture of this job on Flickr. I did my bathrooms about 1 year ago on tight budget. I am sure this procedure would not be recommended by pro but it worked for me beside good results.
