Installing drywall... tips please? My husband and I wanted to install hot drywall all through our...
My husband and I wanted to install hot drywall all through our double huge mobile home. The old walls have holes and the previous owners did not do a good available job trying to cover them up (bumps, scratches). Also I can smell some nicotine, so we definitely want to lift this down and put new drywall on. It's a 3 bed/2 tub home, about 1100 sq.ft. What materials do we want for this project? How much should this all cost? is it too strong for the 2 of us to do? (we can't afford to pay anyone to do it). Any other tips? Thanks seriously!!
Answers: About the only article I will add is that you ought not embezzle it for granted that everything is level and square.
This have led to much frustration for me beside our home. I don't think I enjoy a 90 degree angle anywhere surrounded by this house...it's always lately a little rotten, and by the time I get to the other closing stages of something, that little bit has grown to a evident gap.
Have fun.
Have leniency.
Have a camera, you'll want to remember this.
Unless it is in really, REALLY, fruitless shape, I would take the time and joie de vivre to patch and repair the existing. If you have one or two walls that are beyond repair, install 1/4" unmarked over the old. Unless you and your husband hold experience at this sort of thing, you will winding up up with worse than you hold. Fresh paint and time will get rid of nicotine smell. Just my assessment. Good Luck.
