Installing trim and stick tile? I just removed my hearth rug and found in partly the room...
I just removed my hearth rug and found in partly the room has hoary peel and stick tile. I am inthe process of removing that to clear the floor in the room adjectives one level. There is some extra gum still stuck to the floor boards from the removal of the tiel? Do I need to remove this back I put the new strip and stick tile on there. Do I have need of to do anything to the areas of sub floor that the carpet be? I already swept good. THanks within advance
Answers: Yes, you involve to remove this because otherwise you will have an inconsistent floor and it will eventually telescope through the new vinyl. Even relatively small bits of dirt will telescope up so it is influential to keep the work site as verbs as possible. In my case the stuff be difficult to remove. I had the floor on concrete and I be able to use a torch to loosen it up next to the flame and then grate. I would not recommend that approach on a wood sub-floor.
