Ok, this may be a "duh" question but when putting on NEW hardware to cabinet and drawers that didnt have any prior, how do you test. Do you put them in the center of the drawer obverse? And how do you know where to put them on the cabinet doors? I hold knobs for the cabinet and handles for the drawers. Or should it be the other style around? Thanks!
Answers: Did you know that you can buy a plastic template that perfectly positions the knob or switch on the door. Scroll down until you see the carpenter kneeling down next to a green plastic template positioned on the door.
I bought mine at Lowe's. It puts the knob or handle surrounded by the same place every time. No guesswork, no mis-measurements.
This template, alas, didn't work for my IKEA "two-screw" toy with because of the strange width I'd elected.
As far as the drawer, center the knob (left to right) and be consistent for each drawer.
Good luck. I hope your cabinet look great with their clean hardward.
You can put them in any demand you like..at hand is not any rules as to where on earth to put them, but on the doors, you want to put the knobs, or handle where you can make them. find more interior decorating tips from the relationship here...
