Hello forum just wondering I bought a bright toilet (cant wait to christen it) and in that are two option for installing the tub one is a cement bedding installation or a screw fixing istallation. I prefer to do a screw installation but I'm a bit paranoid that the pan might crack as I hold ceramic tiles on the floor and concrete slab beneath that. Is this a posibility? If so I might have to budge for the cement bedding installaition. Thanks for any feed stern.
Answers: if you have stone floors you want to use the cement if you hold regular flooring use the bolts and wen its put together use the old wax donut to rub on the bolts this will engineer them last longer and if the lid bolts are plastic rub some honey or pancake syrup to the threads and its is other good to put some silicone unrer the toilet purely set the bowl in place but enjoy something under it to hang on to it lifted from the floor later bead just below it then drop the bowl surrounded by place and bolt it down
