I'm moving tomorrow! Any creative decorate thinking for a exotic apartment? ...
Answers: Black and white photographs can add like mad of sophistication.
- Don't be afraid to paint, if your new owner/landlord will agree to you. It's relatively inexpensive/easy for the dramatic effect it can have. Plus, it also in a jiffy makes your foreign place "yours". Keep your color palette coordinated and based on some of your favorite pieces.
- Use fanlight treatments! Curtains, shutters, blinds, etc. that reflect your style really minimize the sterility of the unsophisticated apartment window. Plus - you can coordinate near wall colors - and your furnishings - and then thieve them with you to your subsequent place.
- Most apartments come with generic lighting. Add some of your own stlye by replacing some of the standard lights. If you're not comfortable varying out a fixture, you can find a friend or even pay an electrician to hold it done.
Generally, the more of "you" you put into a new apartment the better it will quality. It doesn't have to be done hastily upon arrival, but set a schedule, a budget - and later a housewarming party.
The gathering is the best way to ensure you gain the job done. You won't want friends and own flesh and blood to come over for a half-done apartment!
