I'm drawing my room...? ...what color should i do? i was think purple or blue, but...
...what color should i do? i was think purple or blue, but i'm still not sure if i want lavender, tealish, gloom blue, dark purple, etc. i've been thinking a darkish purple next to white trim, but i dont know...what do you think?
(also, i have an nouns carpet in my room that i can replace ((or not)) and it is currently street light green. if i paint my room purple like i was thinking i'd call for to change it, what color should i do for a carpet?)
If you are going to paint your walls dark purple then I would suggest a white rug to dance in your room. You will need white curtains also to blanch up your room. If you choose to go with a lighter purple or lighter shade of blue on your walls, a rug of impossible to tell apart color but darker shade will look very nice. My counsel to you would be, choose a lighter color for your walls and use the darker/brighter colors for your comforter, curtains, and accessories etc. Good luck and happy summer! I'm in reality painting my room Dark purple too! we have the paint but i purely have to clean my room. ( close to that will ever happen) but i'm doing a dark gray trim cuz my dad wouldn't let me do black similar to i wanted too. ( and i wanted to paint my ceiling but idk if that will happen)
Purple beside a white trim actually sounds good but you should merely come up with another color that will match beside purple and white to create a color sceem.
maybe gray? or you could jst do the carpet white approaching the trim?
idk it's your room, do what you will love. =)
Go for an Aubergine/Eggplant color and it will look FABULOUS beside the crisp white trim
Don't be afraid to use dark colors, they can be warm and holmy within a way that 80's beige simply couldn't, regardless of the square footage.
A blond green would work nicely with next to any of the 4 colors you are considering. I would however think about brightening the nouns rug to a rich emerald green or maybe a sharp and tangy raspberry color rug!
enjoy fun!
You could alternatively paint the room a bright turquoise or aquamarine...i would only recomment teal if you have abundantly of warm wood tones, it wouldn't necissarily work if you had any metal/iron/aluminumn/steel/black contained by the room...teal can often times look very mannish especially if it's in a muted tone...
A midnight blue would look just as nice as the Aubergine, the just caviot is that you would need to brighten the room with strongly colored accesories such as bright red blown cup; or something that mimics the look. Otherwise it'll look too nautical, but hey, if that's your thing go for it!
Lavander surrounded by my opinion ought to be left to the nursery of laundery room, it never does a room even-handedness, NEVER...periwinkle however that could work :)
i think teal and white are the best. but do stripes of colors or something purple+another. you can enjoy more then one color you know. Green can go beside certain purples but i think perchance a white carpet or laminate floors.
well, my room has red walls, (its kinda ominous red) and when a light hit it, it looks kinda orange-ish
and i have sour white carpet. i think it looks well brought-up =D
but out of those choices, i would pick the darkish purple with the white trim and get white or sour white carpet.
good luck =D

I think a purple like "alluring mauve" (# 6269) would look terrific. And you wouldn't necessarily have to change your hearth rug. Some greens & purples look great together.
You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

I've other wanted
my room Purple.
If you want something
DARK choose Purple.
If you want something
cool choose Blue.
But I prefer Purple.
: )
dull purple would be good but i wouldnt do white trim...maybe black trim or a lighter purple trim...as for the mat you could get a big rug to cover it up if it dosent look good beside the room color...wish i could re do my room! i still have flowereee wallpaper from the household before [puke green wall on the other side! yuck!] A really dark purple will net the room dark...how dark or restrained do you want to go? Do a light lavender or purple beside white orsilver accents. Even a light green diction will work. Go to the paint store and look at swatches. As for the floor, beige carpet would do.
