Well if you like the undamaged dramatic whole look.
I would go beside a Safari look, with Like a hut type thing coming rotten the wall. with that sabbana grass on the roof, and all paitings on the walls next to elephants as if you were really there, perchance have an elephant in in that on the wall then stick a false elephant head on the wall as if it be coming out at you. Loads of laterns hanging around, and fire lights in the safari walls. E-mail if you want any more planning. I have loads. I suggest to go to uppercaseliving.com . If there's a World Bazaar store in your area, filch time to visit it. There are wonderful ideas throughout the store and the prices are pretty fine.
If you go with bleak purple, limit it to one wall. The other walls could be rose colored. The dark purple is going to soak up so much table lamp that you're probably not going to be very pleased with the result.
Add touches of gold ingots throughout the room. Use a stamp and some gold paint to decorate the walls. Apply the paint to the stamp beside a brush, the stamp the wall.
A beaded curtain over the window is a nice touch, too. There are lots of stores with Indian themed items. Once you select your common decorating theme, call round stores such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls or whatever is in your nouns for statuary, brass plates, carved wood tables and other trendy items.
