I really want to find a paint that is interpret and bright! I can only find colours that are fairly dusty! I am looking for the same colour as a gerbera. rather vibrant! Any idea's out there??
I really resembling to buy Behr brand from Home Depot. They are awesome at matching colors. Just find something (anything) the color you want and they can clash it. I have brought everything from wallpaper to a pillow for them to game.

The above answer is correct. Most modern paint stores have the means to match colors. It depends on the substructure paint they start with as very well as the colors added. With literally millions of colors, they can't show every single color on their paint cards.

Also you are looking for a gloss paint, most chips are mat. The shine does affect the color.

So find the color you want within fabric or possibly a photo and take it into a store that have the computer that will match what you want. It analyzes the color and prints out a formula for mixing.

As for your dresser, remember you enjoy to sand the dresser first to make a profile for the paint to stick. Painting over a glossy surface will allow the paint to flake past its sell-by date quickly.
Answers:    Before you paint it, remember you will never be capable of go put money on to the original finish (unless you strip it, sand it, re-stain it...difficult and expensive). You will also cut the value of the piece by sculpture it.

Fuchsia in a illustrious gloss finish might be a great color presently, but in 2 years, you may not close to it anymore. Again, it will be difficult to change the color (especially over a high-ranking gloss finish). If you want to paint it, I'd suggest a non-gloss finish contained by an easier to cover color.

I'm not against painting furniture, but I am impressively selective in what I paint. If the piece is contained by not-so-great condition (or a cheaper knock-off), I will paint it. But if it is a quality piece that will concluding for years to come, I won't.
Bristol make a great colour this season call Crimson Lace. I saw it in the Better Homes and Gardens magazine for June 2008, page 150.

It is the exact colour of the pinky coloured gerbera.

You can check for your nearest store within Australia here - http://www.bristol.com.au/s09_store/inde...

I also image that Bunnings would enjoy their range.
Any paint store will be capable of get what you want. Beware of secure paint dept. (like Walmart) because generally they are not clued-up on products, they are generally trained to tint the paint. Home depot or Lowes, Rona, Benjamin Moore Paints, ICI Paints, are the type of places you should bring your paint. Get durable paint that is tough, scrubbable and mar resistant. Melamine is a angelic product and does come in a tintable foundation. Bring the sampe of the color you want (pillow case, curtain, anything you want to match it up with) so they can help out you with the color you want, most stores presently have a color congruent machine to bring the color and is 98% accurate. Have them to dry a sample for you on a piece of quality newspaper to see end results. Clean your dresser, delicately sand (prime if your using latex/waterbased paint. Melamine, you do not have to prime) Do 2 coats.

Enjoy your unmarked dresser!
