i need to know what colors are the best-- i am 13, not REALLY girly girl but somewhat-- and i want my room to be somewhere where on earth i can relax and i have a shelf and don't know what to do my room is a square shape and at hand is a big window that take up almost the whole wall (only not really but it seem like close) anything will serve Thanks LoTs
what about a restrained blue or a dark ashen. not mixed or painted together of coarse.

Answers: Really, the best colors are the colors you really like. Look surrounded by your closet, is there a matter? Like, do you have 3 green shirts, but with the sole purpose 1-2 of other colors? Also, speaking of green, it's very soothing as is blue or taupe. You can go for a monochromatic look by fitting the wall color with your counterpane and curtains, or you can choose one color for the walls and contrast with the spread/window treatment. Accent beside a third color that really pops and makes you glowing. Use that accent color sparingly, but repeat it at lowest 3 times, like a pillow on the bed, a piece of art on the wall, and I don`t know a throw rug on the floor. That's it, everything else needs to be any wall color or bedspread color.
