i really want to decorate my room in a subject. i am a 16 year old girl, and my room is about 9x9' and is currently painted red. i have white ikea furniture, and a striped blue, green, and purple bed set. i really want to put a wall mural, and i was thinking conceivably a zebra theme, surfing/beach theme, or merely an outdoor theme(i saw a really pretty sunflower wall mural). i need ideas in need painting, or with fine art, new bedspread, or same one, and i could paint the furniture also. also on a immensely small budget. i like bright colours, as well as the black and white look. i enjoy tons of ideas, but i dont really know how to put them together into anything that would look nice. HELP!
Answers:    Besides the painting, the biggest focus usually comes from the bedding. If you're on a budget, it doesn't suggest you're limited...it means you necessitate to shop!! That's something every girl can do, right?? I would suggest starting first at finding the bedding and working from it to build your theme. Check out potterybarn web sites...usually surrounded by small print at the bottom of the screen on the main trellis site...they have a kids and a teen version and both hold a clearance section. If you already have a comforter, you could win a duvet set that works for you and build from there...and solids are ok. You can use throws or other accessories for template and flair! I recently re-did my daughter's bed from Pottery Barn by getting sheets at the department store and then getting the duvet set (shams and cover) & a set of pillowcases adjectives from Pottery Barn's clearance section for around $40!! Yes, that's right. And, nothing match Pottery Barn in quality.

Add some up to date color based on your purchase or purchase your bedding based on your existing wall color. You already enjoy neutral furniture.

Then, just choose paraphernalia which are YOU...choose what you like and keep inside a color range of no more than 3 colors spread throughout the room.white furniture doesn't count necessarily. But, if you want major impact, count the white and choose with the sole purpose 2 more making black one of them. Another idea to spread your $, get a can of flat black spray paint and re-do some of your current trimmings...like your lamp substructure. Another idea for wall art: find something sculptural/architectural and paint it black--like metal pieces at the goodwill store or cosignment shops, old ceiling tiles at garage sale, etc. One other idea when you're finishing with frills, stand at every angle and look around. Make sure you see all 3 colors throughout the room from the view where on earth you're standing. With a little savvy shopping, you'll have a room 'uniquely you' on a shoestring!! Happy Shopping!
im going through impossible to tell apart thing right now.
you said you resembling the outdoors and zebra. well you could combine them to an african sort of thing.
as for the mural, you could paint a sunset as a focus wall and fashion the rest an african theme with conceivably a zebra bed spread and unique african touches to bring it all together. the furniture would be fine the mode it is or you could change it. you could keep your wall alike especially with the sunset mural.
hope this helps!
