The canisters enjoy pulled away from the ceiling and I don't know what to do to get them flush near the ceiling again.
Answers: Go into the attic or the space above the ceiling and reattach the frames to the ceiling joists. Probably the table lamp fixture has come loose from the ceiling framing.
The recessed lantern housing is held by two telescoping braces that are adjusted to fit between two ceiling joist and nailed into place. It is also possible that your desk light housing has come loose from the braces. If you can draw from to the light fixture above the ceiling, next you can fix it.

The anatomy of a recessed pot is usually a transformer in a metal housing up underneath the cieling. To this , the fixture housing is attached. On the inside of the housing, there are two or three slots or pins. Into these slots or on the pins, a spring of some type is attached that also hooks onto the bezel that covers the feathery fixture and the hole in the cieling.
Sometimes, those springs return with stretched, as people try to transform the light bulb, minus unhooking them, or reconnecting them properly. These can be replaced.
Take the springs to a lighting store. Ask them for replacement springs.
Sometimes, the moron that installed the fixture did not anchor the housing properly. They don't care if the wishy-washy lasts. They in recent times hope it lasts ancient the warrenty period!!
You may hold to call within an lelctrician to redo the fixtures, if you are not au fait with lighting electric wiring. If you are, Then take the fixture down, and remount the housing, or anchor the transforner and fixture body properly. Then replace the buld and bezel using the retainers hooked contained by the right place.
it may only be that the bezel retainers aer looses, stretched or not connected at adjectives!
