My parents bought some new furniture for my room and this is how it looks: http://www.starfurniture.com/Catalog/Pro... . From the picture I enjoy the bed, the dresser in the corner, and the side table. I hatred the color of the wood. My favorite color is dark purple but I know that would not look pious with it. What colors will move about good next to my new furniture.
FYI: I detest pastels and my walls are a cream/beige color.
Answers: How lucky you are to enjoy someone who buys you furniture! You don't state your age but perhaps this will grow up near you, so that makes it a righteous choice.
You could look for bedding that has night purple in it, as powerfully as some other colors, but I think purple would look great beside that wood color; the wood looks like it's get a touch of red (or richness) to it and that's what purple needs. You could also consider using the murky purple for the sheets and perhaps red for the comfortor, throwing on some throw pillows that pick up both colors and supply others into the mix...sort of an exotic look -
If it were my room, I would probably do a pink or coral type color. But knowing that you can`t stand pastals, I'm thinking a darker color similar to a deep royal blue or a forest green might work very well for a contrast to your bed and walls. Just my thoughts, hope that helps!
