What i dont know is should all the frames be matching color or not. or should they all be same category of frame
Answers: If you are going to use the family pictures contained by a grouping, the frames should be the same color. You would not want to use silver next to gold, beside some shabby chic thrown in, etc.
Frames should be compatible surrounded by style as well. For instance, if you used sleek, contemporary wood frames, you would want them adjectives to blend nicely together. You wouldn't mix surrounded by some rustic, distressed wood frames, etc.
Narrow black frames usually look good within a grouping, with some of the pictures limp vertically and others horizontally.
Simple gold or silver frames show rotten the photos, whereas several ornate, fancy frames would try to win with the pictures. You want to take home sure people spot the pictures and not just the frames they're contained by.
If you have formal pictures to display, such as marriage portraits, nice, pretty frames would be more suitable.
As long as you have some consistency of style or colour, it should be fine. Different sizes and styles but adjectives gold, for instance, or adjectives the same style but different sizes and colours. I'd choose colour, unless you want to spend a fortune buying frames adjectives the same style. You could pilfer any old frame and spray paint it doesn`t matter what colour you like. Instant co-ordination.
